1926 - 2014

Louis Rosen, in his 88th year of life, passed away in Casper, WY on January 29, 2014. Lou was originally from Chicago IL where he graduated from Tilden Technical High School. After graduation, he entered WWII joining the Army Air Corp and served in the 2nd Bombardment Squadron in the South Pacific and Japan at the end of WWII earning several ribbons and metals before honorable discharge in 1946. After the war, he was a mechanic and later a truck driver. In addition to being a veteran, he became a lifelong member of The Freemasons and The Teamsters.

In 1954, he met the love of his life Geri and married in 1955 and they were together for nearly 60 years until her passing from pancreas cancer in 2013. They raised two sons: Dr. Joseph Rosen (Beverly) of Casper, WY and David Rosen (Gina) of Chandler, AZ. Louis is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Sylvia and siblings Bert, Al, Maury, and Robert. He is survived by innumerable cousins, nieces, nephews and grandchildren living all over the United States…especially his best war story buddy, grandson Zayne. Lou's quick wit and sweetness will be greatly missed.

A memorial service / celebration of life for Lou and Geri Rosen will be
held on Wednesday February 19th from 5-7 pm in the Masonic Grand Lodge
located at 105 N. Center Street in Casper. There will be a brief
remembrance followed by dinner.

This summer, their final resting place will at Abraham Lincoln National
Cemetery near Chicago IL.
