Zachary Douglas Lanka, age 30 was born on 9/11/1982. He was living in Casper, WY with his wife Joanna Marciniak-Lanka. Services are June 1, 2013 at 12:00 Noon at Newcomer Funeral Home in Casper, WY. Graveside services at Highland Cemetery shall follow immediately with a reception at the Casper Recreation Center, Craft Room.
Zach was born in Denver, CO and Grew up in Rawlins, WY and then moved to Casper, WY where he started his electrical apprenticeship. He worked for Wagner Company and a year later went to work for Automation Electronics as an electrical apprentice. Zach was one year away from becoming a journeyman. As a 3rd year student at JATC he earned high honors.
He is survived by his wife; Joanna Marciniak-Lanka married on December 29, 2012, his mother Jolene Lanka and father Mark Lanka, his grandmother, Sandra Crawford his Grandfather, Jay Zumbrennen. Uncles Brad and Jay Lanka, and Kevin Zumbrennen, Aunt Barbra McMillen and various other cousins and family members.
Zach loved the greater outdoors with a passion for fishing, hunting, boating and camping. He enjoyed playing pool and golf. He also loved to travel to different places, but especially Hawaii. He was the most loving and caring person to his wife and was her beloved husband and best friend and shall be missed terribly by all who knew him.
