William "Bill" Alan Marsh, age 76, of Casper, passed away September 4, 2017 at Wyoming Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Bill was born February 23, 1941 in Los Angeles, California to Bishop and Lillian (Knorr) Marsh. Bill graduated high school in 1955. Bill attended college in Southern California. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1966 and was in the Green Beret serving as a United States Army Intelligence Agent. His hobby while in California was photographing dragsters for hotrod magazines and acting as a spotter at The Riverside International Speedway.
In 1993, Bill and his wife, Carol Ann moved to Wyoming to be near their family. Bill was a committee member for the Governor's Planning Council on Developmental Disabilities, AARP State Legislative Committee member and worked locally ensuring compliance with the American Disabilities Act. Bill also worked with the Wyoming Independent Living Counsel as a board member and was a director for the Precious People Project of Rawlins. He was editor for Harvest Time Ministries Newsletter for 20 years and a Chaplain for Natrona County Detention Center for 4 years. He worked as an advocate for Disability Awareness and Accessibility.
Bill was a tremendous father, husband, papa and friend. He loved to fish, watch football and NASCAR, and loved people. He was a Disciple of God and loved the Lord dearly.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Carol Ann Marsh, Son, Lee (Peaches) Marsh, Daughters, Crystal (Joey) Norton and Robyn (EJ) Ridgway, 4 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service with military honors will be held at 10:00am, Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery.
