William Dean "Bill" Lacey, 66, of Dubois, Wyoming went to be with our Lord on September 6, 2019, in Casper, Wyoming surrounded by his loving family. Bill was born November 4, 1952, in Riverton, Wyoming to William and Maxine Lacey. He graduated from Riverton High School in 1971, where he participated in wrestling and swimming. He was a baseball player, an Eagle Scout, received Order of the Arrow, and was a Scout Camp Counselor for many years. After graduation, he attended Central Wyoming College. In 1972, Bill married Jacque Asay and together they had three children.
Bill was a master carpenter and practiced his trade in various locations including Casper, Jackson, Dubois, and Albuquerque. Bill was a sportsman and loved Wyoming. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, outfitter, pick-up man with Dubois Chariot Races, arrowhead hunter, and pack race participant. His survival skills were amazing and he could cook about anything over a campfire. Bill was a friend to all and would do anything for whoever asked.
Bill is survived by children Jason Lacey and Erin Lacey, both of Riverton; grandchildren Jayden and Emma Lacey, Emmett, Kansas; Ryan, Cortland, Gavin Lacey and Savannah Ruby, Riverton; great-grandchildren Zayin and Delilah Lacey, Riverton; parents, Maxine and William Lacey, Dubois; brothers Robert (Judy) Lacey, Casper and Brian (Betty) Lacey, Glenrock; sister Linda (Michael) Johnson, Henderson, Colorado. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by a son, Nathan Lacey.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm on September 21, 2019, at the Dennison Lodge, 907 W. Ramshorn, Dubois, Wyoming.
