On March 7, 2022 William "Bill" J. Hill left this earthly life, with his loving wife and son by his side.
Bill was born July 8, 1942 in Omaha, Nebraska to Charles and Maxine Hill. He was just 7 years old when he came to Wyoming, where he spent the rest of his life. He spent much of his childhood exploring the wild places of Wyoming. He graduated from Natrona County High School in 1960.
He married Bonnie Bissell on July 25, 1960. Together they had three children, Jerry, Larry, and Corina. They later divorced. Bill married Kathy French on August 29, 1992. When he married Kathy, he gained three children, Lisa, Jeff, and Amy.
Bill never met a stranger. You could never go anywhere in town without Bill stopping to talk to someone he knew. He made so many connections and friends throughout his career in cars, due to his honesty and reliability. Chances are, many people reading this met Bill because of a car. He worked at many dealerships throughout the years, including his own Hill's Auto Sales.
Bill was always willing to lend a helping hand. He could often be found helping with home improvement or automotive projects. He could also be found spending time with his grandchildren or great-grandchildren.
Bill enjoyed so many things during his lifetime. He loved old cars, hotcakes, bluegrass and old country music. He loved attending the Bear Trap Festival each year, where he would stake out his spot as early as possible.
He left behind his wife, Kathy; his children, Jerry and Corina (Tom) Goering; his bonus children, Lisa (Todd) Sexton, Jeff (Kim) French, and Amy Helfrick; his brothers, Gary (Pat), Dennis (Ann); and his dog, Char. Cool Pa will be missed by 9 granddaughters, and 13 great grandchildren.
