CASPER -- Funeral services for William Hensley, 66, will be held Thursday, Aug. 9, 2007, at 10:30 a.m., at the Bethel Baptist Church in Casper with Pastor Whalen Woodward officiating.
He died Aug. 3, 2007 at the Central Wyoming Hospice Home in Casper.
Born July 23, 1941, in Lodge Grass, Mont., he was the son of Robert E. Hensley and Elaine M. Sharp. He attended grade school in Wyoming and attended high school in Kansas, where he lived for 18 years.
He moved to Casper in 1978, and started his own mechanical business, Boomtown Commercial.
His interests included leather work, coin collections, tool collections, reading, raising tropical fish and animals, especially horses. At one time he owned 80 horses.
He lived for his family and grandchildren He never missed a sporting game that his grandchildren participated in, including baseball, basketball, football and dance recitals.
Survivors include his wife, Charlene Hensley of Casper; four sons, John Hensley of Cheyenne, Rick Hensley, Michael Hensley and Jeremiah Hensley, all of Casper; one daughter, Dana Kallenbach of Rolla, Kan.; five brothers, Dick Hensley of Cortez, Colo., Kenney Faunce of Moscoe, Idaho, Don Hensley, Jay Hensley, and Jim Hensley, all of Casper; one sister, Rosie Eddy of Casper; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Bobby Gene Hensley.
