Bill Lofton of Casper, WY died on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Wyoming Medical Center. He was 63.
He was born Sept 11, 1952 in Hattiesburg, MS to William Cletus and Gladys Inez (Overstreet) Lofton.
Bill grew up in Petal, MS and moved to Cheyenne, WY while in grade school. He graduated from Cheyenne East High School in 1970 and served in the U.S. Army from 1970 to 1973 stationed in Germany.
He returned to Wyoming after being honorably discharged and spent the next few years working in Cheyenne and Casper. Bill worked at E.F. Warren Air Force Base, as a welder on nuclear subs in San Diego, as a boiler mechanic, and on the construction of steel buildings.
In May of 1983, he married Cindy Christian. They had two sons, Cody Tyler and Tanner Christian. In 1985, he went to work for General Services Administration and retired in May of 2015.
Bill moved back to Casper in 1994. In October of 1997, he married Robyn Melissa Lindsey. Together, they enjoyed traveling, fishing, and the ocean. Bill loved Mexico, called everyone a friend, and always had a story to tell about his adventures.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clet, his mother, Shirley (Paul), his brother, Larry Wayne, and one grandchild.
Bill is survived by his wife, Robyn, sons, Cody (Elizabeth) and Tanner, daughter, April Zietz (Brandon), sister, Linda (Bill) Dykema of NE, and brother Jim of Cheyenne.
No services will be held due to Bill's Request. Memorial contributions may be made to Wyoming Search and Rescue in his name.
