Services for Wayne Varner Neely, 69, Will be held Friday June 8, 2007 at Oregon Trail Veterans Cemetery Chapel with David Taylor with United Veterans Council officiating.
Wayne Varner Neely died June 2, 2007, at Central Wyoming Hospice Home, after a short battle with cancer. Mr. Neely just moved here to Casper Wyoming just two weeks ago from Mountain Home, Arkansas.
He was born May 22, 1938 in BlackOak, Arkansas. He was the son of Woodrow Neely and Madeline Long.
He joined the Navy in 1956 and traveled the world. He then retired from the Seabee's Navy Military after 24 years. In May 1959 he married his wife Neoma Ruth (Jarrard) Neely of 48 years.
He enjoyed gardening, fishing, working with his hands and hanging out in his garage with his buds, he never knew a stranger.
Survivors include: His wife, Neoma Ruth Neely, son, David W. Neely of Arkansas, 2 daughters, Julie A. Willoughby and husband Phillip of Casper, WY, Theresa L. Swearengin of Minnesota. 2 sisters, Phyllis and husband Charlie Regnell, of California, Dianna Neely of Arkansas, brother, George Neely and his wife Sandy of Minnesota. 8 Grandchildren, 3 Great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.
He was preceeded in dealth by his parents.
