Wayne D. Geuke

September 6, 1938 — August 14, 2019

Wayne Dean Geuke, age 80, died at Wyoming Medical Center on August 14, 2019. He is survived by his wife, Karen Geuke; his daughter, Sheila McAdam; his two sons, Brad and Waylon Geuke along with their wives Sonya and Christi. He has seven grandchildren, Mykelle McLean, Kian McAdam, Austin, Madalyn and Noelle Geuke and Peyton and Emily Geuke.

Wayne was born and raised in Redfield, South Dakota. After high school he married Sharyl Sisson. Together they had their three children. Wayne went to beauty school to learn the business and ended up being very talented. In 1967 he won the world hair-cutting competition (beating Videl Sassoon), which was an amazing accomplishment in those days. He was a golden glove boxer in his earlier years which came in handy when he was known as a "hairdresser". He was an entrepreneur owning many salons, beauty schools and bars across Wyoming and South Dakota.

He was an avid outdoors-man who spent his entire life hunting and fishing. He enjoyed golfing with his wife and playing cribbage which he did both until the day he died. Wayne will always be remembered by friends and family as a lover of life; he lived it to the fullest! He had a contagious sense of humor and a huge heart. He had a twinkle in his eye and a cigar in his mouth almost always.

A celebration of life is scheduled for Wayne at 4:00 PM, Sat., Sept. 14, 2019 at Crazy Tony's Bar in Guernsey, Wyoming. All who have known and loved this man are welcome to attend and celebrate Wayne's life.
