Virginia M. Crowder Antonovich (Jeannie) passed away on September 28, 2018 from an extended illness at the Casper Lifecare Center. Jeannie was 80 years old. She was born in Kelford, North Carolina on January 10, 1938 to Herman Paul Crowder and Gladys Ola (Vaughn) Crowder. She lost her parents at an early age and was raised by her guardians Carl and Margaret (Crowder) Hudgins. She was an only child. She attended Walter Wilson High School until 1958. She returned to school and obtained her GED from Casper College in 1992. She continued her education and obtained her Certified Nursing Assistant also through Casper College. She met her husband Bob Antonovich through a friend in Richmond, VA. They were married in St. Margaret's Church in Richmond, VA on March 22, 1961. She then returned to Casper, WY where she joined Bob and his daughters Phyllis, Karoline and Margy. They were blessed with their own 3 children; Paul in 1962, Dolly in 1964 and Steve in 1967. Bob and Jeannie celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2011. Jeannie was preceded in death by her parents Paul Crowder and Gladys Ola (Vaughn) Crowder, her guardians Carl Hudgins and Margaret (Crowder) Hudgins, daughter Margy Scherling in 1991 and daughter Phyllis Jansen in 2005. Her surviving children are Karoline Nelson married to Butch; Paul Antonovich married to Carrie, Dolly Antonovich-Schmuck married to Kevin and Steve Antonovich. They have 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Jeannie loved the 25 years that she spent driving for Meals on Wheels, and spent her later years enjoying time playing Mexican Train, Dominoes, Pan, Canasta, other card games and Bingo with her friends at the senior center and other community venues.
