Memorial services for Virginia Agnes Redfield 86 will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 6, 2014 at First United Methodist Church, Douglas, Wyoming followed by a luncheon. She died on Saturday, August 30th at 1: 55 p.m. in Douglas, Wyoming. Born January 31, 1928 in Vader Washington. The daughter of Leland and Elisabeth (Delaney) Douge.
At the age of 2 she went to live with her aunt and uncle Thomas and Lucy Ventola of San Francisco. She attended Notre Dame Grade School and High School. She married Glenn Redfield in Reno Nevada – They had 5 children. They lived in many places as Glenn was a career soldier. In 1970 they retired to a ranch in Montana. Then in 1979 moved to Douglas, WY.
Virginia worked for Converse County Bank for 15 years, Her interests included reading, collecting stamps and coins, drawing, family history and crafts.
She was a past member of the DAV, VFW, American Legion, Independent Order of Foresters and the United Methodist Women.
Survivors include, Janna Daley (husband Mikael), Sons include Thomas Redfield (Paula), Kevin Redfield(Margo) and Harris Redfield(Janet). Numerous grandchildren and great-grand children.
She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter Lee Ann, grand-son Daniel four brothers" Raymond, Thomas, Stephen,Lee Douge and sister Helen Snyder.
