Violet Jane Ransom

Violet Jane Ransom, 80, of Douglas, daughter of Loren and Lois Castellaw of Torrington, joined her beloved husband Earnest (Bud) on June 9, 2014.
Violet raised her children in Evansville, Wyoming. While living in Evansville she was a active member of many organization including, Evansville Fire Department, Women's Auxiliary, The Moose and Elk's Lodge. She also worked on the election board each year. After she lost her husband in 2001, she moved to Douglas where she spent the rest of her years. She frequented the Douglas Senior Center where she acquired many friends.
Survived by children, Enola (Bob) Snyder of Douglas; Allen Ransom of Douglas; Delbert Ransom of Casper; Eric Ransom of Sheridan; Lorie (Greg) Gerard of Douglas. Sister's, Delores (Bob) Henley of Casper; Alberta (Donny) Shaffer of Casper; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family invites all family and friends to join in a celebration of her life on June 22, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Douglas Senior Center.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Douglas Senior Center in Violet's name.
