Vern Robinett

Vern Robinett, 85, of Casper, passed away July 28, 2009 at the Life Care Center in Casper.
He was born Jan. 13, 1924 in Casper, the son of Harvey J. and Nova Speas Robinett. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was united in marriage to JoAnne Barker on June 27, 1949 in Casper. He was associated in the livestock business with his father-in-law, Guy E. Barker and after his death continued ranching until his retirement in 1998.
He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and served as building chairman for the new building. He enjoyed working with young people and was a Church Pathfinder leader for many years.
Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, JoAnne, two sons, Roger D. and his wife Angela of Carlsbad, CA and Guy M. and his wife Kim of Casper. There are five grandchildren , Rachelle, Jason, Jesse, Adam and Glen and one sister, Lois Artzis of Havasu, AZ. He is preceded in death by his parents, a twin sister, Edna Carter and four brothers, Clayton, Lawrence, Bob and William.
Memorial services will be Sunday, Aug. 9, 2009, 11 AM at the Seventh Day Adventist Church on Mountain Rd. Memorial contributions may be made to the Seventh Day Adventists Pathfinders. Services are under the direction of Newcomer Funeral Home.
