CASPER -- Services for Vera Belle Sleeger, 90, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, 2007, at Newcomer Family Funeral Home with George Conner officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
She died Aug. 15, 2007, at Life Care Center.
She was born Nov. 11, 1916, in Comstock, Neb., the daughter of Zenis Charles Prettyman and Jessie Belle Brown.
She was raised and educated in Henry, Neb.
She married Floyd D. Sleeger on Aug. 6, 1937 in Lander.
They moved to Casper in 1953, where her husband worked for Standard Oil and she worked as a beautician.
After retiring in 1977, they spent their winters in Arizona. While wintering in Arizona, they square danced on weekends, loving every minute of it.
They loved traveling to Mexico, Spain, Hong Kong, Japan, Italy and Alaska.
She collected dolls and made doll clothes and looked forward to shopping.
She was very proud of her car and loved showing it off.
She loved all people, especially the people in Primrose where she lived and will be missed by all whose lives she touched.
Survivors include a son, Tim Sleeger and his wife, Kathy, of Casper; a grandson and granddaughter; a son-in-law; four great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandsons and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughters, Deo Sleeger and Sally Dobbs; sister, Gretchen Wells and a brother, Charles Prettyman.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
Newcomer Family Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
