A memorial service for Vada L. Hinderliter, 94, was held on May 1, 2009, at Newcomer Funeral Home with Pastor Bruce Sell officiating. Cremation has taken place. She passed away on April 27, 2009 at Central Wyoming Hospice Care with her family at her side. She was born December 18,
1914,in Ottawa, Kansas, the daughter of Andrew and Virgie (Bruner) Brady. She graduated from Ottawa High School in 1933. Vada was
united in marriage to Kenneth L. Hinderliter on February 29, 1936. Soon after their marriage, they moved to Thermopolis, Wyoming where they ranched for several years. They then returned to Ottawa, Kansas and ran their dairy. She was also employed at Mode-O-Day in Ottawa, Kansas before moving with her husband to Casper in 1967. She began working at Control Data and then Kassis Clothing Store. In 1977, she and her husband retired to Safford, Arizona. After her husband's death in 1984 she moved back to Casper to be with her son and his family.
Vada was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and gardening. In the summer, she could be found outdoors in her garden. For every holiday Vada would bake her famous pies. She will greatly missed by all who knew her.Survivors include her son, Lowell and his wife Luella, two grandsons and their wives, Richard and Jeanene Hinderliter, Frank and Greta Hinderliter of Casper, two granddaughters and their husbands, Deborah and Martin Nieto of Houston, Texas, and Cindy and Chris Osenbaugh of Indianapolis, Indiana; thirteen great-grandchildren, Tasha Gough; Kristen Drake and her husband Brandon; Leslie Hedrick; Crystal, James, and Lora Hinderliter; Jordyn and Lauren Osenbaugh; Makayla and Gabrielle Nieto; and Rachel, Allison and Karl Forgey; and three great-great grandchildren, Eli Drake; and Hannah and Lauren Gough.was preceded in by her husband, her parents, an infant son, Frank; two brothers, Paul and Thane Brady; two sisters, Ellen Homes and June Rubrick.
