Ty graduated from Kaycee High School and soon after embarked on a lifelong career as a heavy equipment operator in the mining sector. Over 53 years, he worked across Wyoming, Nevada, and Utah, contributing significantly to the industry.
Family was the cornerstone of Ty's life. He is survived by his sister, Jeannie Hauf; sister and brother-in-law, Dennis and Judy Sheppard; brother, Ray Cobb; daughter, Tina Long; daughter and son-in-law, Tracy and Shane Bertagnole; and son and daughter-in-law, Joshua and Katrina Cobb. His family remembers him as a loving and dedicated figure always ready to support and celebrate each moment together.
Ty's hobbies reflected his love for nature and animals. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed panning for gold, metal detecting, and rock hunting. His home was a haven for many unique pets over the years, including a skunk, a turtle, a baby owl, and his beloved cats, Sassy and Thalia.
In his leisure, Ty could often be found at garage sales looking for antique clocks to fix or working in his yard with his tractor. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him, especially for his ability to befriend both people and animals alike.
