Tony Simmons Jr. 85, of Casper, passed away March 12, 2009.
He was born Feb. 1, 1924 in Crosby, WY, the son of Tony and Ethel Sparks Simmons. Tony was a graduate of Thermopolis High School in Thermopolis, WY. He was united in marriage to Madge Lane in 1970 in Riverton, WY. He was employed as an iron worker and welder in California and Casper and was a member of the Iron Workers Union. After retirement, he owned and operated Simmons Kard Dek Boarding Kennels in Casper. He was a WWII Veteran. He was a Christian and was an avid fisherman and Hunter.
He is survived by his wife, Madge, 3 daughters, Vicky Webb of Tulsa, OK, Sherry Getz of Douglas, WY and Toni Fleetwood of Casper. Two sons, Rob of Vaccaville, CA. and Ed of Casper, WY. There are numerous grandchildren and one brother, Mickey of Lander, WY. He was preceded in death by a brother Dewey and a sister Hazel.
Graveside services will be Monday, March 23, 2009, 2:00 PM at the Wyoming Memorial Garden Cemetery with The Rev. August Koeune officiating. Arrangements under the direction of Newcomer Funeral Home
