Tod Allan Martin, 62, of Casper, Wyoming passed away Sunday, December 3, 2023.
Tod was the first born of Allan and Marilyn Martin on October 12, 1961 in Denver, Colorado. The family lived throughout the United States. Tod graduated in 1980 from McPherson High School in McPherson, Kansas.
He met the love of his life, Rita Gutsch, in high school when Rita saw this scrawny, wild-haired gorgeous creature at Pizza Hut, where she was working. They were married September 22, 1985. Their daughter, Shana "Baby", was born in 1996. As Shana relays, "Mom and Dad brought me home to live an a whorehouse." It's a long story. The Martin family lived in Colorado for 18 years and moved to Casper in 2012 where Tod was employed as the parts manager at Casper GMC.
Tod loved riding his motorcycles and attended Sturgis for the last 26 years - including the year Shana was born. In fact, Tod called Rita that first night asking for more money. When asked what happened to his money, Tod said he spent it all on "Baby." Although not a spectacular hunter-gatherer, Tod loved to "take his gun for a walk in the woods" and "drown worms." He loved his family and he will be greatly missed. Through his work, Tod also leaves many friends.
He is survived by wife of nearly 40 years, Rita; daughter, Shana; sister, Karen (Paul "Pep") Pepperd; brother, Terry Martin; nephew, Dustin (Dorian) Densler; great-nephew, Jakob Densler; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled from 1:00 - 3:00 pm on Saturday, February 17, 2023 at Black Tooth Brewing Company, 322 South David Street, Suite A, Casper, WY 82601.
