Timothy Joseph Drew

At his request, no funeral services will be held for Timothy J. Drew, Jr. Cremation has taken place. Newcomer Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Drew was born to T.J. Drew, DDS and Catherine (Dunn) Drew on June 5, 1927 in Casper, Wyoming. He died August 2, 2015 at Wyoming Medical Center.

He grew up in Casper attending local schools, graduating from Natrona County High School and enlisting in the Navy in May 1945. He gained honorable discharge in July 1946. He graduated from the Colorado College, Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1950 with a B.A. in Business Administration. He was employed in the 1950's at the Casper National Bank and Sinclair Oil Co in the land department. He then moved to California, was employed as a fire rating technician and was later employed at a general insurance brokerage as an underwriter. He returned to Casper in the 1970's and was employed by the Welfare Service and later the Department of Public Assistance and Social Services. During that time, he attended Rutgers University in New Jersey with the assistance of the state of Wyoming and obtained an MSW degree in 1972. In 1975 he re-entered the oil and gas business as an independent Energy Land Man. He continued this work until his retirement in 1998.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, William F. Drew; and sister, Mary Ann Drew.

He is survived by two nieces, Catherine A. (Mike) Purcell of Cheyenne and Mary L. (Kevin) Terry of Mission Viejo, California; several grand and great-grand nieces and nephews; and many special friends and neighbors.

At Tim's request, no funeral services will be held. There will be a private burial at Highland Cemetery.
