There will be a celebration of life for Thomas "Tom" B. Raney, Thursday, April 3, 2008 2:00 p.m. at Newcomer Family Funeral Home. Officiating will be Norman and Kathy Brown from the Casper Foursquare Church.
He died April 1, 2008 at Wyoming Medical Center.
Tom was born May 25, 1932 in Plano, Iowa the son of James Ivan and Lillian (Massingill) Raney.
He also grew up and attended schools in Iowa.
After serving in the Army during the Korean War, he moved to Wyoming.
His hobbies included hunting, fishing, trucking, gambling a little, gardening, artistic painting, whittling, and
most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed hanging out at the Platte River Café.
He will be truly missed by all of the lives that he touched.
He is survived by 3 daughters, Kathy Borino, Jana Shepperson, both of Casper, Gena Cooper of Paisley, OR,
son Thomas B. Raney Jr. of Casper, brother James Raney, of Casper, 2 sisters Sheila Sites, of Iowa,
Glady McConnell, of Des Moines, Iowa, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers James Wilford Raney, Earl Raney, Jiggs Raney, and Bobby Raney, Sister Anna Raney, daughter Angel Raney, and Wife Mary Ann Raney.
