Thomas Allen Jindra, 66, was born September 4, 1956, to James and Drucilla (Nicholas) Jindra in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. His childhood years were spent in Two Rivers, Wisconsin. At the age of 12 Thom's family moved to Iron River, Wisconsin. He graduated from Northwestern High School in Maple, Wisconsin in 1975.
Following high school, Thom attended Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College in New Richmond, Wisconsin from 1975-1977. Here he earned an associate degree in power mechanics and welding.
Thom was an excellent carpenter, with his specialty being "finish" carpentry. He owned his own construction business for a time.
From 1985-1998, Thom worked as a radio sales manager, where he sold ads for various radio stations across the United States.
Thom enjoyed cooking and working as a cook from 2005-2008.
He was a master gardener and raised beautiful gardens. He also enjoyed preserving the bounty from his garden. Rows of canned goods lined his pantry shelves; and making jellies and jams was his specialty.
Thom met Elizabeth (Libby) Iverson in Duluth, Minnesota, and they were married August 26, 2017, at Waters Edge Baptist Church in Duluth. Thom worked hard to please his new bride by remodeling their home and restoring antique furniture. He was very meticulous in his work and strived for perfection in all he did.
Thom was an excellent artist and did oil paintings, of which he sold many at craft fairs.
He was a "die-hard" Green Bay Packers fan and faithfully watched most of their games.
In 2018, Thom and Libby moved to Casper, Wyoming to be near Libby's family. Thom struggled with COPD and lung cancer. He died in his home surrounded by his wife, her parents, sister, and niece.
He had accepted Christ as his Savior and is now in the presence of his lord.
Thom is survived by his wife, Libby; sons from his first marriage, Bobby and Andrew Jindra; sisters, Debra Zachau, Diane (Jeff) Punjack, Linda Jindra, Sue (Mike) Panfil; and his dog, Scooby!
Preceding Thom in death were his parents, and a stepson, Michael Iverson.
No funeral service will be held, per Thom's request. Cremation has taken place with burial at a later date.
