Thomas Henry Bartlett, 79, passed away Nov. 29, 2010 at the Wyoming Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 1, 1931 in Great Falls, MT, the son of Thomas H. and Sophia Stenseth Bartlett.
He was a graduate of Browning Montana High School and then attended Northern Montana College in Havre, MT and then graduated from The College of Great Falls with a B.S. in Chemistry. He was united in marriage to Alice Lee, they later divorced. He was then united in marriage to the love of his life, Iris Cooper (McCullough) Aug. 25, 1967 in Casper, WY. His working career includes, a chief chemist at Western Nuclear, Jeffery City, WY. Tom was a chemist and computer programmer at CHEM LAB, Casper, WY. He also enjoyed accounting and tax preperation. Since 1977, he was owner and operator of WAMCO Laboratory in Casper. He partnered with James Gallagher to start WAMCO Lab. He was a member of Winter Memorial Presbyterian Church, a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge 1353. In 1988, he was one of 1000 people in the U.S. to receive a Cochlear Implant. His hobbies included boating, fishing, hunting, computers and technology, avid reader and stained glass work. He and his wife helped create and design some of the stained glass windows at Winter Memorial Presbyterian Church. To all that knew him he was really "The Pretty Good Kid".
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Iris, a son Brady Bartlett and his wife Michelle of Mesa, AZ, two daughters, Karleen Brock and her husband Thomas of Casper, WY, Elaine Gold and her husband Steve of Casper, WY, five grandchildren, Heather (Jordan), Crystal (Brian), Anthony (Athena), Dylan and Christopher, five great grandchildren, Rayna, Isis, Deangelo, Soryn and Ella, one brother, Richard Bartlett of California and numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents,two sisters, Agnes GrossKopf and Bernice Lanning.
Memorial services will be Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, 10:00 AM at Winter Memorial Presbyterian Church with Rev. Debbie Cato officiating. Inurnment will follow at 2:00 PM at Highland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Winter Memorial Presbyterian Church and to Central Wyoming Hospice Home. Arrangements under the direction of Newcomer Funeral Home.
