Theodore Steven Murray, age 62, lost his battle with cancer on January 26, 2024. He died peacefully at home, in the company of whom he cherished and loved most, his wife Lisa Murray and his many pets.
Ted was born April 1, 1961 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Growing up his family moved several times, but Ted returned to Wyoming after high school and spent the rest of his years creating memories with his friends and family. Ted was an expert meatcutter, learning the trade in his 20s and continuing until his retirement at 60.
Ted had many, many adventures (and some memorable misadventures too). He loved the water and was an expert water skier and enjoyed Alcova every summer. Ted was an avid hunter and fisherman and one of his proud hunting moments was when he shot a near record moose and spent the next several hours wrestling it out of a pond and into the back of his truck all on his own. Ted enjoyed helping anyone that needed it, whether family, friends, or a stranger stranded on the road.
Not having children of his own, Ted doted on his nieces Candice Stevens, Shannon Floyd, Jolene Seville, Monica Cawley , Daphne Dugan, and nephew J Davis. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerome Murray, and his mother, Glennice Murray. He is survived by his wife Lisa, his sisters Miriam Pletan (Roger), Vivian Seville (Dennis), Patti Yamamoto (Jeff), and his many cousins, great nieces and great nephews. Ted will be greatly missed by all.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
