Taylor Songe suddenly left our lives Saturday, March 24, 2012. He was born on August 23, 1984 and was 27 years old. Taylor was born in Casper to Debbie and Cody Songe and lived here his entire life. His brother Christopher was his best friend and co-conspirator in a lot of adventures.
When he was young, he participated in many different sports. He loved hockey, skateboarding, BMX bike racing, baseball and golf. He was a 2003 graduate of NCHS.
He loved all the outdoor activities that Wyoming had to offer, especially hunting and fishing. Once the weather got warm, he loved riding his motorcycle.
He was a great snowboarder and this year won 2nd place at the Wyoming State Pool Tournament in singles and previously won 1st place in teams.
Taylor was a very talented musician and enjoyed playing in his band with friends. He loved playing both the electric and acoustic guitar and he also enjoyed playing the drums.
While he was in school, he always looked forward to his Friday morning breakfasts with his Uncle Mike, there they perfected the art of "trading yolks for whites".
He had a quick wit and a smile that could light up a room. You could always tell when he was up to something-his eyes would sparkle and he would have the biggest grin on his face.
Taylor is survived by his mother and brother of Casper and his father and wife Annie from Marshville, MO. Grandparents, Irvin and Jean Braunberger of Casper; and LeeRoy and Mona Songe of Hot Springs Village, AR. Aunts and Uncles Michael (Juli) Braunberger and Tammy (Randy) Patricelli of Casper. Chris (Fred) Touchet, and Bob Songe of Houma, LA., Toni (Phillip) Shelton of Hot Springs Village, AR. And many cousins and friends who loved him.
Taylor touched many lives while he was with us; he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all.
A Celebration of Taylors life will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 10:00 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 710 E. 2nd St. Casper WY 82601.
