Taylor Ashton Mize

Taylor Ashton Mize, known by most as 'Ashton'
Born August 19th 1996 in Alexandria, Louisiana. Passed away May 3rd 2023 in Casper Wyoming, at the age of 26.

He started school in Oklahoma, then finished Elementary School, Junior High, and most of High School in Gillette, Wy. Finally receiving his High School Diploma in Casper, Wyoming. Ashton had several jobs that he enjoyed including the oilfield, delivering roofing materials, a mechanic, & a truck driver with his class A CDL. However the one he loved the most was the one he volunteered for, the Volunteer Fire Department. He planned on turning that into a lifelong career.

Ashton was known for being a charismatic jokester with a great sense of humor who always wanted to make sure everyone around him was happy. He loved camping, fishing, acting and many different forms of art, he also enjoyed arm wrestling. Two of his favorite places to go camping and fishing were Mystic lake, Montana and Sand Creek in North East Wyoming.

He is survived by His Son, Skylar Mize, His Parents, Nathan Ackerman and Crystal Mize and his 2 biological Brothers and adoptive Brother and Sister. As well as a Great Grandmother, Grandmothers and several extended family members.

He was preceded in death by a cousin, His favorite Grandpa, an Uncle as well as other Grand and Great GrandParents.

Ashton loved life and never let anything stop him from living it to the fullest. His passing was such a surprise! And naturally we are all sad but rather than focusing on that, we ask you to join us in celebrating the life he lived. Please come share stories of how he impacted your lives and put smiles on your faces. If you have something purple, please wear it! Purple was and I dare say, still is his favorite color. It would make him happy to see people wearing purple to say goodbye or until we meet again and honor the truly unique individual that was and always will be Ashton.

Great Grandson, Grandson, Son, Nephew, Uncle, Cousin, Father and Friend. He will be greatly missed by many!

The celebration of life will be held Saturday June 3rd in the Newcomer Funeral Home Chapel in Casper Wyoming, with a visitation and gathering time from 2 to 3 PM followed by the service at 3PM.
