Tammy Lynn Washut, 35, passed away Tuesday, September 20th 2011 in Tigard, OR.
Tammy was born January, 3rd, 1976 in Casper, WY to Ken and Dottie Washut. Tammy graduated from Kelly Walsh High School in Casper, WY in 1994. Tammy continued her education; attending college at the University of Wyoming where she also worked as a phlebotomist at Iverson Memorial Hospital in Laramie, Wyoming and attended medical school at OHSU in Portland, Oregon, where she worked as a surgical resident up until her death.
During her free time, Tammy enjoyed her hobby of wildlife photography so much that she published a book of her photographs in 2009 titled "Through My Eyes". She also enjoyed spending time with her companions and friends, Rusty and Teton, her Australian Shepherds.
Tammy is survived by: her parents, Ken and Dottie Washut of Casper, WY; brother, Travis Washut of Casper, WY; as well extended family members including; Deb and Chas Norris of Gillette, WY; Donna and Ken McClure of Rock Springs, WY; Vicki Washut of Cheyenne, WY; cousins; Tanya Allee, Krista Terry, and Dustin Norris, all of Gillette, WY.
Tammy is preceded in death by: her grandparents, Joe and Melva Washut and Fred and Neta Brennan, and one uncle, Clifford Washut.
FUNERAL SERVICES: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 28th, 2011 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 400 Country Club Rd, Casper, WY at 10:30 A.M. with Fr. August Koehn officiating. VISITATION: A visitation will take place at Newcomer Funeral Home, 710 E. 2nd St., Casper, WY on Tuesday, September 27th from 6:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. A Rosary Service will immediately follow at 7:00 P.M.
