Steven "Scott" Adams

March 14, 1950 — March 22, 2022

Steven "Scott" Adams, 72, of Casper, Wyoming passed away from on-going health complications on March 22, 2022. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on March 31, 2022 at Christ Reformed Church located at 1927 South Walnut Street in the upper "A" frame building.

Scott was born March 14, 1950, in Oakland, CA. He is survived by his wife Cheryl Drost, step-daughter, Kristin Drost-Old of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, step-son Russell Drost and his wife, Jessica, along with grandchildren Everett James (2-years old) and Maven Hayes (3.5 weeks) of Bozeman, MT, brothers Charles T Adams, wife Sharon of Minnesota, and his family , Robert Adams his wife Cathi, of Brookfield Wisconsin, and family, Douglas Adams wife Christy of Tucson and his family, and sister Jeanne Adams, husband Bob Chey of Sisketon, MO and her family.

Scott was passionate about an array of subjects: horsemanship, traditional cowboy arts and tack, fine wine/dining/cigars, as well as the arts of fine wares of presentation. He traveled the world fly-fishing and bird and big game hunting. He was a collector of fine guns and a gourmet cook.

He was most proud of the family that raised him and the one he inherited when he married, the lady he referred to as his soul mate, Cheryl. He loved his many friends and his military brothers. Scott served his country as a gunnery Sergeant in Vietnam. Unfortunately, the experience severely damaged his hearing, caused his type II diabetes, ultimately leading to his loss of sight.

His career and accomplishments in the advertising and sales promotion business were also a very big part of his life. He owned his own advertising business in San Francisco, California, along with partners to create the company BARC (Blevins, Adams, Randazo, Carter). He was a skilled entrepreneur. He retired in Dillion, MT in 2005. He married Cheryl in 2009 and they moved to Casper, WY, for new adventures. They have never looked back.

It is impossible to sum-up Scott's life. He was most gentle and kind, loved by his wife, family, and many friends. He was humble in his walk with our Lord, Jesus, passionate for our country's Constitution, and hopeful for generations to come to live their lives in freedom. In all his physical ailments Scott never complained and he knew what was important. We will keep Scott alive by stories and experiences we shared with him. He would like best to be remembered in their memories over cigars, good bourbon, and good fellowship. He would want us to celebrate his life rather than grieve his loss.
