DOUGLAS -- Following cremation at Newcomer Family Funeral Home, a memorial service for Stanley J. Ladwig, 53, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, 2007 at the Douglas Senior Center.
He died July 21, 2007 at the Central Wyoming Hospice Home after a long battle of illnesses.
He was born on Ja. 11, 1954 to Harold Ladwig and Vivian Fern (Dieleman) Ladwig of Douglas.
After graduating from Douglas High School in 1972, he attended Casper College.
On June 24, 1978, he married Rebecca Lynn Wood in Douglas. He later worked for the Wyoming Highway Department as a mechanic and enjoyed his time volunteering for the Douglas Volunteer Fire Department.
In 1986, he and his family moved to Florida where he worked for Case Power & Equipment and also Home Depot. After making his home and raising his two daughters in Denver, he and his family moved back to Casper in 2005.
His interests included fishing, camping, and mountain manning, black powder shooting, and family time with his two daughters and his dog, Rex.
Survivors include his wife, Rebecca, of Casper; two daughters, Jessica Daneal Ladwig and Joy Dean Ladwig, both of Casper; parents of Douglas, two brothers, Larry A Ladwig of Phoenix, Ariz., and Phillip B. Ladwig and wife of Morrison, Colo.; two nephews, Adam and Nathan Ladwig and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by one sister and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
