Shirley Loreece Roberts, age 71, of Casper, passed away December 29, 2017 at Gilbert Hospital in Gilbert, Arizona surrounded by her loving family. Shirley was born November 13, 1946 in Williston, North Dakota to Oliver "Harold" and Sophie (Chanchuck) Ellingson. On October 12, 1962, she married Larry Lee in North Dakota. In 1971, they moved to Colorado where they resided for two years before moving to Casper, Wyoming to raise their three children. In January of 2007, Larry passed away. Shirley married Dan Roberts on June 6, 2008 in Scituate, Massachusetts. Shirley was a homemaker for the majority of her life, raising her children. She was a devoted wife and mother. Shirley had a love for flowers and enjoyed gardening. Shirley enjoyed the hunt of searching and collecting antiques. Her greatest joy in life was making sure others were happy and cared for.
She was very loved by everyone and will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her.
Shirley was preceded in death by her father, Oliver Ellingson, and husband, Larry Lee. She is survived by her husband of 9 years, Dan Roberts of Casper, Wyoming; mother, Sophie Ellingson of Marshfield, Mass; brothers, Glen Ellingson of Casper, Wyoming, Steve (Mary) Ellingson of Marshfield, Mass, Michael Ellingson of Marshfield, Mass.; Sisters, Judy (George) Cavanagh of Scituate, Mass., Dawn (Brad) Willis of Plymouth, Mass., Son, David (Carrie) Lee of Casper, Wyoming, Son, Mark (Janet) Lee of Colorado Springs, CO; daughter, Misty (John) Roberts of Casper, Wyoming, grandsons, Austin Lee, Mathew Lee, and granddaughters, Kara Roberts of Casper, Wyoming, Aubree (Joe) Richardson of Casper, Wyoming, and Kristen Lee of Colorado Springs, CO., great-granddaughter, Kaydence Richardson, of Casper, Wyoming, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Newcomer Casper Chapel with interment to follow Highland Cemetery.
