Shirley May Peters, 71, of Casper, passed away Saturday August 5, 2017.
She was born to the late John Walter and Oralouise Cameron, May 20, 1946 in Denver, CO. Shirley graduated from South High in Denver in 1965, she married and moved to Casper, WY.
Shirley was a dedicated employee of True Drilling LLC for over 40 years. After her retirement, she enjoyed traveling, especially to visit family in Denver, New Jersey and Oregon. She devoted time to the Casper Humane Society, Epilepsy Group of Casper, WY and her church. She was a kind, loving and gentle soul whose generosity, friendship and heart were bigger than she.
She was a successful single mom that challenged any adversity with determination and unwavering resilience. We also believe she made the best coffee cake in the world.
Shirley will be missed immensely, but through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ and His promise of eternal life, her family and friends know this is not goodbye, but we'll see you again.
Shirley is survived by her son Travis Peters and his wife Jessica, sister Beverly Blotter and her husband Rick, nieces and numerous friends that have become family.
