Sherman Peterson

Sherman LeRoy "Pete" Peterson passed away Sunday October 18, 2009 at his home in Casper.
He was born to Walter and Julia Peterson January 20, 1928 in Cabin Creek, Montana and moved to Fairfield bench in the 30's. He worked on the family farm until he went in the Army in 1948. He was a lineman in France and Austria.
He met and married Josephine (Joie) Stuckert in Fort Monmouth, N.J. in 1952. They moved to Casper in 1962 where he owned and operated A to Z Rentals and later Cowboy Rentals. He later worked heavy construction around the Casper area.
He raised 2 sons and 1 daughter teaching them that there were no limits to any thing that they do.
He was a favorite uncle to many nieces and nephews. Always ready for a game of cribbage.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his twin, 3 other brothers and his son Craig.
He is survived by his wife Joie, son Walt, daughter Renee, granddaughters Skylar and Sidney, His sister Lil and brother Russ.
A memorial service will be held Friday October 23, 2009 at 10:00 am at the Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery. Newcomer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
