Sharon Glee Mangus, 84, of Glenrock Wyoming passed away peacefully on November 3rd, surrounded by loved ones and close friends. She was born on April 30, 1939 in Torrington Wyoming to parents Robert and Glee (Mowrey) Linville.
Sharon grew up in Lance Creek and attended High School in Lusk Wyoming where she met her future husband Danny Lee Mangus. Sharon and Danny married on January 17, 1956 in Lance Creek WY. They later moved to Glenrock where they raised three children; Terra, Dan and Guy.
In 1972, Sharon received an Associates Degree in education from Casper College. However, she decided to follow a different path and became the first female to work at Glenrock Coal. Sharon worked in purchasing and procurement at Glenrock Coal for 22 years, retiring in 1996.
Sharon was an active member of the First Southern Baptish Church. To all who knew Sharon, her passion for supporting her children and grandchildren was very apparent, as well as her love of quilting.
She is survived by her husband of 67 Year, Danny Mangus, two children: Terra Oakley (Michael) of Casper, Guy Mangus (Lori) of Glenrock. She is also survived by grandchildren: Erik Alberts (Crystal) of Casper, Brady Mangus of Glenrock, Chase Mangus of Glenrock, Bayleigh Mangus of Glenrock and Braeden Mangus of Amesbury, MA, Great-grandchildren Brayden Alberts and Rylie Alberts of Casper. Sharon is preceded in death by son Danny Dean Mangus, Grandson Kevin Paul Alberts, her parents Robert and Glee Linville, brothers Robert, Dean Galen, and Sister Wanda.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 1:00PM First Southern Baptist Chapel 485 East Birch Street Glenrock, WY 82637
