Sandra L. Bentley, 68 of Casper, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Life Care Center of Casper. She was born to Lawrence and Norma Kuhn in Atchison, Kansas, on July 24, 1947 (Amelia Earhart's birthday and her place of birth). She graduated from Atchison High School in 1965. Sandra was very proud to have worked as Secretary to the Dean at Benedictine College in Atchison, KS. After meeting the love of her life, John Bentley, Sandra relocated in 1972 to Casper, Wyoming. She went to work for Western National Bank and then Wyoming National Bank. She eventually went on to work for Triangle Sales & Service then to C & Y Transportation. Sandra then worked as an aide at Red Creek School and eventually to the job she truly loved, a bus driver for the Natrona County School District. In between all of her different jobs, she had the most important job of all, being a homemaker and ranch hand. Sandra loved riding and watching horses, cooking, gardening, hunting and everything about the Wyoming Lifestyle. Sandra was a lifetime member of the First Christian Church first in Kansas and then Wyoming.
She is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, John Bentley; sisters, Linda (Bill) Mosteller of Casper, WY, and Marjorie (Al) Ross of Robinson, KS; brother, Lawrence Kuhn of Atchison, KS; numerous nieces and nephews and other friends.
A Graveside Service will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at Highland Cemetery, 1860 E 12th Street, Casper, Wyoming with Rev. Cynthia McBride officiating. In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made to First Christian Church, the Casper Humane Society, or the Alzheimer's Association.
