Samuel Wayne Cantrell, age 85, of Casper, passed away January 13, 2017 at Wyoming Medical Center. Sam was born September 2, 1931 in McAlester, Oklahoma to L.M. "Dub" and Verlah (Sharp) Cantrell. He was a member of the Air Force Reserve where he served at Tinker Field, Oklahoma. He was employed with Halliburton for more than 32 years before retiring in 1985. He later enjoyed being the owner and operator of Sam's Pilot Car Service. Sam loved the great outdoors, but especially enjoyed his time fishing, hunting, and traveling.
Sam was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Condy Roger Cantrell, and his former wife, Mary L. (Wilson) Cantrell.
He is survived by Linda G. (Gladden) Cantrell, Daughters, L. Kaye White, Barbara C. Lube, and Ramona C. Irwin; Son, Don A. Cantrell, 8 Grandchildren, and 12 Great-Grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at Newcomer Funeral Home Chapel.
