Sally Fay Lamb, 76, of Casper, WY passed away on November 2, 2020 at Casper Mountain Rehabilitation and Care Center.
She was born on February 14, 1944 in Danville, IL to Earl and Elizabeth Dunkley. She moved to Casper with her family when she was in the 8th grade. She married LeRoy Lamb on January 15, 1961. In 1970 they moved to Newcastle, WY where they raised their four daughters. She worked mainly in retail and loved working at Saver's Mart for several years. In 2001 they moved to Torrington, WY to be equal distance from their daughters and grandkids. While in Torrington, she worked at Vandel Drug for several years. She loved being around her horses and cats. She also loved gardening, making the holidays special, and attending as many of her grandkids activities as possible. In 2018, they moved to back to Casper to be closer to family.
She is survived by her husband, Roy of Casper, WY; daughters LaDonna Welton (Wes) of Sidney, NE, Brenda Hanks (Rex) of Glenrock, WY, and Shawna Rettinghouse (Stoney) of Newcastle, WY; grandkids Jessica Herbert (Bronc) of Broadwater, NE, Aspen Gutknecht (Kevin) of Knoxville, TN, Jordan Hanks (Diana) of Temecula, CA, Stoney Rettinghouse Jr., Alex Rettinghouse, and Colter Rettinghouse of Newcastle, WY; and 4 great-grandkids with one on the way.
She is preceded in death by her parents Earl and Elizabeth Dunkley, her brother William Dunkley, and her daughter Carrie Lamb (Wendtland).
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association or a charity of your choice in Sally's name.
A viewing will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home from 5-8pm on Monday, November 9th. Services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home Tuesday, November 10th at 1pm followed by burial at Highland Cemetery. Please join the family at 40 Sage Hills Rd. Glenrock, WY for a reception following the services.
