Sadella Mae Golen was born on March 25, 1944 in Ottumwa, Iowa and passed from life unto life at the age of 68 on October 28, 2012 at the Wyoming Medical Center.
She graduated from Natrona County High School with the class of 1962. Sadella worked for the City of Casper for 19 years and retired to return to school.
Sadella decided to go to college when her son, David Golen, entered college in 1988. They both attended classes at Casper College at the same time. In 1990 Sadella earned her AD Nursing degree and the privilege of working in the field for which she had a deep passion.
Her driving desire was to serve others.
She worked 19 years for the Wyoming Medical Center before retiring a second time.
Sadella loved music and was involved in the Worship Arts ministry at Highland Park Community Church. She was committed to a weekly Community Group and in her last years served as chief cook for the Celebrate Recovery ministry.
Sadella was always positive, willing to help, a good listener, funny and always the "mom" to many.
Sadella will be missed by anyone who had the opportunity to call her friend. Her life, lived fully in joy, does not end. The twinkle in her eye, the humor in her words and the hugs she gave live on in those she touched.
Sadella is survived by her son, David Golen of Casper; two grandsons, Caleb and Keefer Golen and her sister, Barbara Lockwood. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cloyce and Dorothy Gilliland and older sister, Sondra Plumb.
The memorial service will be held at Highland Park Community Church in Casper on Friday, November 2, 2012 at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor John Spear officiating. David appreciates your prayers during this time and would like to visit with attendees after the memorial service.
