Ryan James Barry
CASPER -- A Celebration of Life for Ryan James Barry, 17, will be held Wednesday, July 11, 2006 at, 11:00am at the Natrona County High School Stadium.
Ryan left us on July 4, 2007, for a destination of greater importance.
He was born October 6, 1989, in Casper to Patrick and Rene Barry.
Ryan graduated from First Christian Preschool and later attended Mountain View and McKinley Elementary Schools, Dean Morgan Junior High School, NCHS, and found his educational niche at Star Lane Center.
For most of his youth, Ryan was a member of the Casper Youth Baseball League, and played Flag and Midget Football. He was honored to be selected for All-City Band and traveled to Fiji, New Zealand, and Australia as a Student Ambassador representative. He was a camera and production team member at McKinley, as well as being involved with NC TV at NCHS.
Ryan was determined to enlighten everyone on the way to live, and relied on his love for others to accomplish the task, or failing that, his unique sense of humor. Anyone was fair game for Ryan's entertainment; unwitting recipients could expect no mercy. He approached the unknown with adventure. He protected his friends with his life. There was no person in whom Ryan did not see a quality to appreciate; his understanding, kindness, and dedication was rewarded by the lasting friendship of many, which accompanies him on his journey.
Ryan lived his life with an extreme intensity; he did not sit quietly, there was too much to be done. He was a drummer with Shadow of Doubt, enjoyed golfing, skateboarding, snowboarding, skiing, river rafting, and had a great passion for socializing, preferably in an outdoor venue. Ryan was happiest in the company of friends and faithful pooch, Cory, listening to music; and spending time with his big brother, Sean, and nephew, Corbin.
Ryan was employed at the Casper Country Club, and most recently at St. Louis Pizza.
Ryan is traveling now without his parents or brother, of Casper; Grandpa Leonard, Grandma Marick, Uncle Jim, Aunt Kathy, Aunt Pam, Aunt Liz; Cousins Drew, Grace, Katelin, Alex, Bailie and Karlie; and a legion of awesome people he loved as family.
Ryan is in the company of his Grandpa Russ, Grandma Jean, and beloved Great-Grandma Haberman, who have greeted him with joy.
Newcomer Family Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
