History of our sister is very interesting, and we would like to share what she had done with her life. Ruthie and her two older sisters Esther and Nomi, went to Denver in their teen years, and a minister heard them sing harmony together, and he knew of someone that could offer them a singing contract to make a Dream of a lifetime come true. Coming from a strict father, they knew it would never happen, so they came back to Newcastle, and continued living their lives. It was a disappointment for sure, but Ruthie, after a lot of years got her dream husband, Jerry. Jerry was a very popular Barber, and Ruthie was then an Activity Director for a nursing home in Rock Springs, WY for several years. They lived a great life together.
When her husband passed, we siblings, talked her into living with Sarah in AZ for 3 yrs., then she was called to Texas by our Sis Nomi to help her in her job, so Ruthie did. Our oldest brother Chuck, was having health problems. His wife, Evie, asked Ruthie to come and stay with her and help her through the tough times. So Ruthie, helped Evie, with her loss of Chuck. Ruthie, always gave her best to help wherever she was needed . But that isn't all.
Our sis Esther moved to Texas after loosing her hubby, and Ruthie, moved there helping Esther. They shared a house in Robert Lee, Texas for almost 11 years, and they both enjoyed their life. Christmas day 2012 Esther passed and it devastated Ruthie. She then went to live with her sister Lois, and niece Angie, in Kansas for a few months. Then Martha in Newcastle was alone, after loosing her hubby, Ronnie, so Ruthie moved again and helped Martha for a few years. She then became pretty independent after all this, and moved back to AZ where Sarah & John, lived in Payson, AZ. She bought a 5th wheel, lived in that for a few years. Then, rented a senior apt. in Payson. She lived there for 3-4 years, and started to need some help herself. She knew the importance of being near her daughter and granddaughter now that she was over 80yrs old, so decided to move back to WY. Her daughter Debra watched over her for almost 2 years, and then Ruthie needed medical care. That brings us back to present, and also leaving a few other moves in her past out of her story Whatever Ruthie did, she was a precious caregiver to everyone she touched.. John and Bertie felt the need to help her and brought her to a nice place of care. They have looked after her for several months at the Casper Life Care Center.
She will be missed so much, and have touched many lives with her sweet spirit, and spunky personality.
Funeral services were not requested, as her ashes will be with her husband Jerry.
The siblings will have a memorial service in Newcastle when it becomes summertime in WY.
