Ruth Huffman
98, passed away March 20, 2012 at Poplar Living Center in Casper. She was born November 2, 1913 in Barnett, MO. She was one of twelve children born to William & Martha (Ritter) Francis. She came to Wyoming at an early age and her family settled in the Kaycee area. In her early 20's, she worked at the Boarding House and the telephone company in Midwest, WY. She married Myrlen "Huffy" Huffman on September 16, 1936 in Casper, WY. They have one daughter, Barbara Huffman from their union. She was a homemaker until her husband's retirement, then worked in sales for Kassis Department Stores for many years. She was a member of the Community Church in Midwest, was a Girl Scout Leader, assisted with Job's Daughters, and was a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time at family gatherings.
She is survived by her daughter: Barbara Huffman of Casper, WY; sister: Marjorie Taffner of Casper, WY; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1995, 6 brothers, and 4 sisters.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, March 26th at 11 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home. Viewing will be one hour prior to service. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery.
