On September 5, 2018, Angels came for Russell "Russ" Lee Wilson. He was 77 years old. Russ was born in Chicago, Illinois on May 31, 1941 to Roy and Madonna Wilson. After high school he worked for Allis Chalmers. He married Eileen "Lee" (ex-wife) on June 18, 1967. In 1974, they moved to Monte Vista, Colorado where he worked for Whitlock Motors, a Chevy dealership, as a Mechanic. In 1976, he became an owner/operator of Amaco Service Station in Saguache, Colorado during his stay in Saguache he also worked as a Town Constable for the town. In 1982, he moved to Mountain Home Arkansas, worked for the school district as maintenance person for their school buses. Shortly after his mom passed away he moved to Casper. He has worked several different places in Casper, he worked for Chevy Garage, and the Natrona County Road and Bridge Department until he retired. He was responsible for rebuilding a peace keeper armored vehicle which is still used by the Natrona County Sheriff's Office Special Response Team and is named after him.
Preceded before him in his death were his Parents, Roy and Madonna Wilson, one sister, Claudia (Ray) Sweeny, one brother, Richard (Brenda) Wilson, ex-wife, Lee, 2 infant sons, and 2 great granddaughters.
He leaves behind wonderful memories with brother, William (Sharon) Wilson of Charleston, Illinois, a sister, Cynthia (John) Baker Sr. of Harrison, Arkansas, 2 daughters, Penny (Glenn) Alexander of Saguache, Colorado, and Carol (Jim) Wilson of Marshalltown, Iowa, 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many wonderful friends.
No services are scheduled at this time for Russ. His only request is to go fishing and think about him.
