Roy James Schultz, 78 of Casper, passed away Monday, March 27, 2017 at his home in Casper, Wyoming. Roy was born on November 9, 1938 in Webster, South Dakota to Raymond and Anna Schultz. He met his wife, Bethel Fresvik in Garretson, SD. A couple years later they were married on October 13, 1959. Together they had four children. Roy had various jobs in South Dakota and Wyoming, his favorite was his time working on farms and as an auto mechanic. He was very talented and could fix any tractor or car. He enjoyed listening to Polka music and playing the drums in a Polka band. Roy will be remembered for his undisclosed love of cats, going to coffee with his friends and word searches. He will be fondly remembered and be missed by his loving family.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and one sister. He is survived by his wife, Bethel; children, Theresa (Shannon) Bussard of Alpena, AR, Brian Schultz of Casper, WY, Sonja (Greg) Prado of Casper, WY, and Beth Ann (Robert) Poe of Castle Rock, CO; grandchildren, Rachel (Ben) Plumlee of Alpena, AR, Megan (Brandon) Carter of Harrison, AR, Dylan Poe and Madison Poe both of Castle Rock, CO; great grandchildren, Christopher, Eddie, and Shirley Plumlee of Alpena, AR; three brothers; one sister; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 5, 2017, 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM, at Newcomer Funeral Home Casper Chapel. A Graveside Service will be held 10:00 AM, Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Highland Cemetery in Casper. A reception will be held at the Elks club immediately after.
