Rosalie Niegisch, 87, of Casper, passed away Nov. 27, 2009 at the Wyoming Medical Center after a lengthily illness.
She was born Dec. 6, 1921 in former Yugoslavia. She imigrated to Germany before WWII and then came to the United States in 1952 with her husband, Willy and three children settling in Casper, WY. Rosalie was employed by the Natrona County School District as a custodian from May 1969 to October of 1980. She was then employed in 1981 until she retired in 1993 also at the school district. Rosalie was a member of the Eagles and VFW Post 9439 Women's Auxiliary . She was a proud wife, mother and grandmother. She was a loyal supporter of the Casper Troopers and Eagles. She will greatly missed by her by her best friend, Bonnie and many other friends at the Eagles and Troopers Bingo.
Survivors include one daughter, Petra, five sons, Guenter and wife Jeanie of Kansas, John, Richard and and wife June, Paul and wife Susan, daughter-in-law, Pamela, all of Casper. There are numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willy, son, Helmut, infant daughter, Barbara Ann and her parents, two brothers and a sister.
A Celebration of Life will be Friday, Dec. 4, 2009, 11:00 AM at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Father Philip Vaske and Deacon Don Stewart officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the donors charity of choice. Newcomer Funeral Home in Charge of arrangements.
