Services for RONALD LUVERNE WHITLATCH, 65 will be held on Thursday November 15, 2012 at 4pm at Restorative Church on 411 South Walsh Street in Casper, WY. Ron passed away on November 12, 2012. Cremation has taken place. Burial will be at a later date. He was incredibly thankful for the service of his fellow American's in the Armed Forces and asked for friends and family to make a donation to The Wounded Warrior Project in lieu of sending flowers. The Reverend Doctor Ronald L. Whitlatch Jr. was born December 25, 1946 in Hinsdale, Illinois. Both of Ronnie's parents were active in their church and encouraged Ron when he made a decision to go into the ministry at a young age. Ron attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas where he met his wife of 43 years, Mary Fair Whitlatch. Ron and Mary Fair raised two sons after attending Southern Seminary. Ron began a lifelong ministry, after moving to Casper, Wyoming, primarily at the Family of God Church. For many years Ron worked collaboratively with fellow ministers dedicated to unity inside of Casper's Christian community. Ron committed his life to teaching from his heart and feeding his mind. He received his Doctor of Philosophy degree from Oxford Graduate School in 2004. He was always a voracious reader and an open minded friend to those seeking the truth. Ron loved to golf, to create art, and was fascinated by the natural world.
Ron is survived by; wife Mary Fair, sons Isaac and Luke and their wives Alana and Jenny, his sister Lee and her husband Bevy, his brother Robert and his granddaughter's Sage and Laurel.
