Ronald Frederick Selby, 62, of Casper, WY passed away surrounded by family on May 27, 2015. He was born to Harry & Jone Selby on November 25, 1952 in Quantico, VA where his father was a Marine. He grew up in Miamisburg, OH, Fort Lauderdale, FL and graduated from Perry, OK. After graduation he worked as a wheat harvester and came back to New Port Richey, FL and worked for the circus as a sign boarder on the elephants. He left the circus to learn a new trade as a heavy equipment operator. While on a blind date he met Lynda Fader whom he married on October 30, 1971.
Seeking better job opportunities, he arrived in Buffalo, WY on his motorcycle in March of 1975. During his work career he worked as a heavy equipment operator around the state. His career took him to Saudi Arabia as a crane operator, Kingman, AZ as a juvenile detention officer where he was awarded Detention Officer of the Year from the state of Arizona in 1997, and also as a long haul truck driver.
He treasured spending time with his family, time in the mountains where he liked to ride his motorcycle and bike, was an avid follower of NASCAR and drag racing, and enjoyed traveling the country with Lynda.
He is survived by his wife, Lynda of 43 years, and their five daughters, Jackie Branscom, husband Cody and their sons, Trey and wife Ali, children Trent and Lainee, Drew and wife Alissa and son Jaxson and Wade Branscom of Casper, WY; Julie Leis and husband Micheal and their daughters Ciara and Patience Leis of Buffalo, WY; Casey McMilon, husband Lonnie and their sons Zander and Duncan McMilon of Merced, CA; Brenna Richins, husband Colby and their children Shelby, Ethan and Karson Richins of Buffalo, WY; and Toni and her daughter Halli Selby of Casper, WY; as well as his parents Harry and Jone of New Port Richey, FL and his sister Yvonne, husband Tom and children Nicole and Rose of Buchanan, MI and Gabe of Tampa, FL. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, mother-in-law, father-in-law and numerous aunts and uncles.
