ROGER BENDER
Roger Bender passed away at the Central Wyoming Hospice House on Saturday,
August 26, 2006 at the age of 75 following a courageous battle with cancer.
Roger Bender was born June 2, 1931 in Richland Center, Wisconsin to the late
Madge and Glen Bender.
Roger served in the Air Force. He worked several years, and retired from
General Motors in Wisconsin. He managed many employees and was well respected
by all of them. During this time he raised three beautiful daughters and a
son. After retirement, he relocated to Casper, Wyoming. There he met and
married Marge Taylor. They loved to travel and also enjoyed visiting family
and friends around the country. Roger was a member of the First United
Methodist Church. He served and cooked at the mission monthly. Roger also
delivered for Meals on Wheels and volunteered for Habitat for Humanity. He
was a very compassionate and loving man, who gave regardless of himself.
Surviving are his wife, Marge, three daughters, one son, four stepdaughters,
thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Proceeded in death are
his parents, baby daughter, and his two brothers.
A memorial will be held at a later date in Beloit, Wisconsin. He will be laid
to rest by his late Mother, Father and Brothers.
