Rodney Mcmillan

August 9, 1951 — December 8, 2015

Rod (Mac) passed away on December 8, 2015 after a long battle with Cancer. Born August 9, 1951 with twin brother Dennis, they grew up in Midwest, Wyoming with older brother Gary and their parents, Harold A. (Bill) and Dora (Goldie) McMillan. After graduating from Midwest High School in 1969, Rod enlisted in the U.S. Army. He served one tour of duty in Vietnam before being discharged as a Sergeant in 1972. After working on Drilling Rigs and other jobs around Midwest, he moved to Guernsey, Wyoming which was home until his passing.

There he worked for Sunrise Iron Ore Mine, Road Construction Contractors and Camp Guernsey as a civilian doing building maintenance. During this time he was a member of the Wyoming National Guard. He retired as a Sargent First Class with 28 years of service. He retired from Camp Guernsey when diagnosed with cancer in 2011. While in Guernsey, he graduated from Eastern Wyoming College with an Associate's Degree in Applied Science of Business.

Rod is survived by his daughter Mary Pat; Margaret; his Mother Dora (Goldie), brothers Dennis (wife Jeanne) and Gary McMillan. His father died May 7, 2002.

A Memorial Service will be 10:30 AM, Monday, December 14, 2015 at Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery, in Evansville, WY with Rev. Gary Ruzicka officiating.
