Robin Alexander passed away May 6, 2009 at his home in Casper. He was born November 29, 1924 in Delaware, Ohio, to Donald M. and Alice Alexander. He grew up in Michigan. After two years of service in the Navy at the close of World War II, he returned to Michigan State where he completed a degree in business. He married Jane Vissing in 1948. He was an insurance adjuster for 33 years, retiring in 1990. He was a member of the First United Methodist of Casper and the Theta Chi fraternity. He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. Survivors include his daughter Nancy Callaway and husband Roger of Matthews, North Carolina; sons David of Casper, Ken and wife Deborah of Camas, Washington, Jim and wife Jennifer of Minneapolis; sister Barbara Chapelle of Traverse City, Michigan and brother Donald Alexander of New Providence, Pennsylvania; granddaughters Charise Alexander of Lincoln, Nebraska, Robin Callaway of Matthews, North Carolina, Erika and Marisa Alexander of San Francisco, California; grandsons Jimmy and Benjamin Callaway of Matthews, North Carolina; Jack Alexander of Minneapolis and Brandon Moreno of Camas, Washington. A memorial service will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home at 2 PM on Sunday, May 10 and burial will be at the Oregon Trail Veterans Cemetery.
