Memorial services will be held for Roberta Engleman (82) April 11 , 2007 at 11 :00 AM at Oregon Trail Veterans Cemetery
Roberta died March 12, 2007 after a brief illness.
Roberta Nancy (Taylor) was born August 26, 1924 in Parco, (Sinclair) Wyoming to Henry and Margaret Ann (Couch) Taylor. Her father worked a variety of jobs in the oil fields. She attended Midwest High School, Midwest Wyoming and graduated in 1942. She then attended nursing school at Mounds Midway School of Nursing in St. Paul MN and graduated in 1951.
She returned to Casper. In 1952 she married Norwood Warner and began a family. She divorced Norwood in 1977. Over the years she worked at the Natrona County Hospital, for various physicians and ultimately returned to working for the Natrona County Hospital where she worked in the ICU and surgical floor where she was the supervisor. She retired from the Hospital in 1981. She was a hospice volunteer for several years and a volunteer at the Salvation Army.
In 1979, she married Ivan Engleman. They enjoyed traveling to Arizona in the winters and moved there permanently in 2001.
Roberta had been a long time member of the. First Baptist Church of Casper. She loved her Lord and enjoyed being involved and teaching Bible studies. She was a very giving person, always trying to help others. She worked hard to prepare for family camping trips so that her family could enjoy themselves.
Roberta enjoyed rock hunting, antique shopping and roaming the prairies of her beloved Wyoming. She will be missed for her selfless giving and humor. She was a model of faith and an inspiration to others in her last months as she eagerly awaited her homecoming in Jesus. She will be greatly missed by friends and family because of her caring and selfless spirit.
She is survived by her children: Stephen N Warner and his wife Kathleen, Casper; Kevin B Warner and his wife Penny, Holland, MI; Ginny L Herreid and her husband Scott, Brookings, SD; Paula Brand and her husband Gary, Johnson City, TN; Jill Lewallen of Johnson City, TN and Kelly Engleman and his wife Billie of Douglas, WY; her sister Jean Wommer of Kearney NE; sister Virginia Boston of Torrington, WY and 9 grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers Roberta would appreciate a donation to Friends of Hospice.
