Robert E. Williams, 72, of Rawlins, WY, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at Memorial Hospital of Carbon County.
Robert was born May 3, 1939 in Holyoke, CO to William C. Williams and Hazel E. Williams. He graduated from Natrona County High School in Casper in 1957 and worked various jobs throughout his lifetime; including Worland Oxygen, pit and matainance supervisor for Codero Coal Company for 19 years in Gillette, H&P Copper and Gold Mining Company in Ely, NV and Lowe's in Carson City, NV. Robert moved to Rawlins in 2007.
He was known for being a generous and fun-loving person. His activities were many: fishing, hunting, mountain climbing, flying his airplane, prospecting for gold, trap shooting, motor cycling, snowmobiling, and riding his 4-wheeler.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents and former wife, Linda Williams. He is survived by his brother William J. (Kay) Williams of Rawlins, neice Kimberly (Charles) Lovato of Monmouth, OR, nephews David H. (Doreen) Williams and John R. Williams of Boulder Creek, CA.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at Highland Cemetery in Casper, WY. With Pastor Terry Wiley of Christ Lutheran Church officiting.
