Robert Allen "Bob" Ray, age 56, passed away Wednesday September 2, 2009 at his home in Casper from complication due to a brain tumor. Bob was born October 10, 1952 in Riverton Wyoming to Keith and Sally Ray. He grew up in Riverton and graduated from Riverton High School. After graduation he entered the US Navy serving for 4 years on a submarine. After the service Bob settled in Casper working in the construction industry building home in the area. After the construction boom he went to work for Moonlight Liquors. He left Moonlight liquors and went to work for ExCal Corp for a year and then went to work for Al's Window/Overhead door until illness forced his leave. Bob was an avid Nascar fan, enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing pool with his friends.
Bob is survived by brother, Bill and wife Donna of Houston, TX and their children, Billy of Grants NM and Erin and husband Jason Warren and daughter Camille all of Houston; brother Ted and wife Jody of Riverton and their children, Andy of Pavillion, WY and daughter Sarah and husband Jeremy Hughes and son Landon "Digger" all of Riverton; sister, Janet and husband Mark Stelling of Farmington NM. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday September 8, 2009 in the Newcomer Funeral Home at 11:00 AM. Private cremation will be held. At Bob's request the family asks that no one wear a suit to the services.
